The Science of Learning
Every aspect of Curiosityville—from the activities and games development to the sound effects, animation, hands on learning and archetypal characters—is built for optimal child development and learning. It lets children learn how they learn best—through playful exploration and discovery. And it lays a strong foundation for creative thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and other critical skills for the 21st century.
The research we apply includes the biology of how children learn, translational research from educational psychology, and cognitive science about the best ways to teach these skills and core curriculum content. Curiosityville engages the four cornerstones of a early learning model for the 21st Century, namely, environmental factors, relationships, applied practice, and targeted cognitive training, each of which has been correlated with academic achievement and positive social development.
